Renault UK Motorsport


CMC Media has been appointed in 2016 to handle PR for automotive giant Renault’s motor sport activity in the UK.

Predominantly this means its premier motor racing championship, the Renault UK Clio Cup, which features at the British Touring Car Championship’s big race events.

This involves regular liaison with teams, drivers, sponsors, organisers and media to stimulate coverage for the Clio Cup, but also requires a strong understanding of commercial and sporting regulations and sensitivities.

Furthermore, CMC handles the Clio Cup’s social media and helps shape content on the website.

CMC also manages content for Renaultsport UK’s monthly newsletters (photo editing, all editorial etc.

The above marks something of a ‘return’ as CMC director Carl McKellar was previously the Media Officer for Renaultsport UK in the late Nineties/early Noughties – back then working with the likes of future F1 champions Kimi Raikkonen, Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button during their early careers.
